Off the Bone Barbeque-Dallas, Texas

Ribs and brisket at Off the bone BBQ So I took a field trip to get some BBQ while in Dallas. I read and read several if not number websites and came up with my choice of places to visit--Off the Bone Barbeque. It was recommended by Full Custom Gospel BBQ Blog.  Off the Bone considers themselves "Gourmet Barbeque".  I ordered the cole slaw as I love cole slaw and I seemed to understand why they call themselves "Gourmet". The cole slaw was very good with an unusual addition of blue cheese.  Not my favorite cole slaw ever but good fresh cole slaw. The ribs were a little cold, but I really loved their brisket sandwich. I ditched the bun and dug into the meat. It was very smokey with a little bite. I am usually fond of St. Louis or Carolina BBQ, so this BBQ was good, but no Carolina BBQ.  This is my first Texas BBQ and it was pretty good. It was a  short walk from the Cedars DART stop,  in an industrial area but the view of Dallas wasn't so bad (see photo below).
